Music is something we all listen to and enjoy... but that era is ending.

The way we produce it will never be the same: everyone will have music generated specifically for them. I dislike betting on dates, yet I am certain that by 2026 radio stations will play songs generated by AI; they will even reach the global charts. It is not a matter of technology but adoption—talented people still need to discover the wonders of AI. It is clear that, in a couple of years, we will listen to live music shaped to our mood, generated exclusively for each person at every moment. I see it as no longer choosing a song but a mood: you press play on Party Mode and, if you are midway, another similar track appears for variety, or if you skip, the algorithm tries to figure out what you are looking for. While you listen to one track it has already generated two more in case you switch or stay, and you will be able to save your favorites and start from them so it instantly knows what that moment will sound like (this is what will happen). And if it was not clear, every film and series will use artificial music: it is better, cheaper, faster, and adapts to what the screenwriter wants.

Human-made music will rise in value, like the art of painting; for a while we will keep listening to our artists, but when this last generation of singers is gone, people like our children will mostly listen to music generated digitally from start to finish.

When I tried Suno V3 in February 2024, I was amazed. Goosebumps covered my skin when one of those first generations produced a ballad. As it played, chills ran through me. What was I listening to? It felt magical. I opened Shazam to see what the AI had copied, but… nothing: “this song does not exist.” I lay down and listened on repeat, absorbing what had just happened. I still remember that feeling of disbelief. A year later, I can hardly believe how far the current versions have gone, and it keeps surprising me that such sound comes from an inert machine—because I could swear that first 2024 ballad had feeling.

¿Eso es un piano?

La música, algo que todos escuchamos, disfrutamos... pero se acabó.
Es decir, la forma de producirla ya no volverá a ser igual, todas las personas tendrán su propia música generada para ellos mismos, y no me gusta y sé que está mal atreverse a decir fechas, pero SEGURO que en 2026 se escucha en la radio canciones generadas por IA, es más, hasta entrarán en los top mundiales. Está claro que no es falta de tecnología, sino que es falta de adopción, de que esa gente con talento descubra las maravillas de la IA. Está claro, que en un par de años, escucharemos música en directo según nuestro mood generada exclusivamente para cada persona en cada momento, lo veo como que ya no eliges una canción, sino un mood, le das al play a Modo Fiesta y si escuchas una canción o vas por la mitad se genera otra similar o con algoritmos para darle variedad, o si saltas la canción el algoritmo tratará de averiguar eso que buscas y mientras escuchas una te ha generado 2 más por si la cambias o te quedas, aunque también podrás guardar tus favoritas y comenzar desde esas y ya sabe de qué rollo irá ese momento (esto es lo que pasará). Por si no queda claro, es evidente que en películas y series en todas se usará música generada artificial, es mejor, más barata, más rápida y se adapta a lo que quiere el guionista.
La música generada por humanos incrementará su valor, será como el arte de pintar un cuadro, durante un tiempo seguiremos escuchando a nuestros artistas, pero cuando en un futuro acabe esta generación última de cantantes, las personas como nuestros hijos, escucharán mayoritariamente música generada digitalmente de principio a fin.

Desde que probé Suno V3 en Febrero de 2024, quedé asombrado, se me pusieron los pelos de punta cuando en una de aquellas primeras generaciones, generó una balada, y conforme sonaba se me erizó la piel, ¿qué es lo que estaba escuchando? era algo mágico, tan mágico que fui a Shazam a buscar de dónde había copiado y pegado esta canción la IA, pero... nada, "esta canción no existe", me tumbé en la cama y la escuché en bucle asimilando lo que acababa de pasar, todavía recuerdo esa sensación de no poder creer lo que sucedió ese día, esto era revolucionario. Ahora un año después no me lo puedo creer al nivel que llegan las versiones actuales, y sigue sorprendiéndome que esto salga de una máquina inerte, porque diría que esa primera balada de 2024, tenía sentimiento.
